Umeå 2015

UArctic Rectors' Forum 2015
Hosted by the University of Umeå, Sweden, the 9th UArctic Rectors' Forum will be held August 19 to 22, 2015. The theme will be "The Challenges of Arctic Research."

The UArctic Rectors' Forums are for the leaders of UArctic's Higher Education Institution members, and serve as a unique opportunity for the heads of these institutions in the circumpolar North to participate in a common dialogue and learning experience focused on topics of special relevance.

Institution leaders leaders (i.e. Rectors, Chancellors, Presidents, Provosts, Vice-Rectors, Vice-Chancellors, Vice-Presidents, Vice-Provosts, etc.) are eligible to participate as formal delegates in the Rectors’ Forum. They may, in addition, bring along expert(s), advisor(s) and/or support staff as part of their delegation.

We will continue the practice of organizing a UArctic Students’ Forum in conjunction with the Rectors’ Forum. In this respect, you are invited to sponsor one graduate student or rising senior undergraduate student from your institution to participate in the student program. If your institution is already hosting a UArctic Student Ambassador we would strongly encourage you to bring them to the UArctic Students’ Forum in Umeå as your student representative. Your institution will be responsible for the costs associated with the participation of your student representatives (i.e. registration fee, travel expenses and accommodation cost).

Registration Deadline: Friday July 31st, 2015
Registration Fee:
Rectors' Forum participation: 465€
Students' Forum participation 415€
Excursion to Holmön August 22nd: 135€
